The session will review the major federal tax developments of January 2021. Among the most important pronouncements by IRS is a special rule for 2021 on personal use of a company vehicle and among the most important cases is a Tax Court case on the legitimacy of management fees to owners. Also discussed among the 15-20 significant happenings will be a new Fourth Circuit case on a charitable contribution of a residence for home demolition and a new Tax Court case on the determination of one's "tax home."
