Course Description

In June 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against the NCAA on an anti-trust matter. At the same time, several states started to allow student-athletes to profit off their name, image, and likeness (NIL)—a practice that was previously prohibited. Therefore, effective the beginning of July 2021, the NCAA adopted interim policies that allow student-athletes to benefit from their name, image, and likeness. There will be a new class of young business owners overnight that are in this complex space.

  • Identify warning signs and pitfalls

  • Propose strategies to protect your clients from a pay-to-play situation

Danielle is most passionate about her work in assisting businesses, protecting their businesses from fraud. Most small- and medium-sized businesses don’t have the personnel, IT, or monetary resources to set up traditional segregation of duties. Danielle finds the puzzle of creating alternative methods to create segregation of duties for fraud and error prevention extremely rewarding and interesting.
