Course Description

CPAs and CPA firms use trademarks in the form of names, taglines etc. in helping clients identify their practice or distinguish their practice  from competitors. However, some CPAs are unaware of how they can protect these trademarks thereby depriving them of possible licensing revenue and remedies in cases of theft and infringement. This presentation seeks to help inform CPAs about trademarks and how they can protect them.
 
Course Objectives:


  • Educate the attendees about what a trademark is

  • Teach attendees on how to identify their trademarks

  • Inform attendees on the different sources of trademark protection

  • Educate attendees on the advantages of registering a trademark
