He began his career in state taxation with Arthur Anderson, then after 4 years at Arthur Anderson, he partnered with Jerry Peisner and in 1992 founded Peisner Johnson & Company, LLP. Andy is an experienced professional in state and local tax matters and has consulted hundreds of companies in virtually every industry across the country. Peisner Johnson is comprised of former state auditors and other professionals with years of state and local tax experience. Prior to beginning this new venture, Mike spent the better part of a decade with Peisner Johnson, an accounting firm that is focused entirely on solving state and local tax issues. Mike’s state tax knowledge is well rounded, but he is one of the country’s leading authorities when it comes to eCommerce, nexus, and drop shipping. Mike is often quoted by the press on these topics. Mike is a frequently requested speaker sometimes presenting at 2-3 live webinars a week and traveling across the country to speak at some of the industry’s biggest events. Mike is a prolific writer having authored an untold number of industry white papers, articles and blog posts. Mike was born in New Your City where he began his career on Wall Street.
