Join us for a conversation with Masika Mahabir, CDP, Founder and CEO of Diversity Nexus, a virtual consulting practice offering innovative DEI products and services designed to create inclusive, safe, and connected communities. Code switching is a practice many engage in, often without realizing it, to adapt their communication or behavior in different social or professional environments.
In this discussion, we will explore how code switching shapes interactions, impacts mental health, and influences perceptions. Whether you're familiar with the concept or just beginning to understand it, this session will invite participants to think critically about the choices we make in adapting our language, behavior, and identity in different environments. By exploring the nuances of code switching, participants will gain a clearer understanding of how it can be a source of agency, allowing individuals to build connections and succeed professionally without losing their unique identities. Through this lens, we will explore how code switching can support rather than hinder personal and professional growth.
